Duliban Insurance Brokers have been “the Hometown Broker” in the Niagara and Haldimand area for over 35 years. In 1976 James Duliban purchased an Insurance Brokerage in Welland called ‘R.F. Seehuber Insurance Agency ‘ and operated at that time under James Duliban Insurance Brokers. His values were clear; provide hardworking, trustworthy, independent advice to his clients to meet their auto insurance, home insurance, commercial insurance and farm insurance needs. In 1991 with now two locations in Welland and Fonthill the sons of James Duliban: Tom and Dave, purchased the shares of the business and created a dedicated partnership with the mindset to always stay true to the values earlier set by their father, James.

Over time the business has merged with Myers Mosley Insurance (Fenwick), Duliban Insurance (Dunnville) and D.N.K Insurance (Beamsville and Dunnville). Currently, we have over 24 employees and operate with three locations in the Welland, Dunnville and Beamsville area. A third generation of the family, Adam and Jason Duliban, are continuing the family tradition and are taking a very active role in the business.

For any business to flourish over such a long time it must be built on a stable foundation. Disclosure statement Regarding Broker compensation

Thank you for your business. As your Independent Insurance Broker, we purchase insurance products and services on your behalf that are available, affordable and understandable.

Our role is to provide you with the best available insurance value that combines coverage, service and price. We also provide personalized quality service that includes professional insurance advice, ongoing policy maintenance and claims support. When any issue arises regarding your insurance coverage, we are your advocates, using our professional experience to best represent your individual interest.

Brokerage compensation is part of your insurance premium. For your benefit, we have listed below Automobile, Personal lines property and commercial insurers that we represent and have included the range of compensation each provides as a percentage of your overall premium.

Automobile

*Aviva Group- 5% to 17.5%, * Dufferin Mutual 10% to 12.5%, Axa 7.5% to 12.5%, Coachman 10% to 12.5%, Gore 10% to 12.5% Economical 10% to 12.5%, * North Waterloo Farmers Mutual 10% to 12.5%, Jevco 12.5% to 15%, Kingsway 5% to 12.5%, Markel 12.5%, Perth 5% to 12.5% *Portage 10% to 12.5%, *Wawanesa 10% to 12.5%, * Western Assurance 10% to 14%, Royal Facility 7.5% to 12.5% subject to Maximum $250.

Personal Lines Property

The commission percentage is paid annually for both new business and renewal. As part our business expansion we our business has obtained a loan from Portage Mutual. As part our a reorganization strategy our office is replacing former D.N. Kimberley Insurance ING and Dominion of Canada policies to Axa and Portage Mutual respectively. Overrides can be paid on this transfer ranging from 0% to 15 % on the transfer.

Should there be an increase in the commission schedule we receive from your insurer, or any other material change that affects compensation arrangements, we will notify you.

In order for us to maintain strong relationships with quality insurers, we work with each to provide the type of business they desire. The Insurers with an asterisk noted above recognize our efforts through a contingent (Profit) commission contract. Payment of this Contingent (Profit) Commission may depend on a combination of growth, profitability (loss ratio), volume, retention and increased services that we provide on behalf of the insurer. Contingent (Profit) Commission is not guaranteed. For detailed information on Contingent Commission, please go to the individual company’s website.

Your insurer will be providing you with a Consumer Code of Rights and responsibilities, which will be forwarded to you with your new policy. If you have any questions regarding this or any other aspect of your insurance please contact us.
