Living and Driving in Orangeville, Ontario
Orangeville, Ontario, is located in Dufferin County, about an hour’s drive to downtown Toronto. It is known as the commercial hub of Dufferin county due to Clorox of Canada, Glad garbage bags, and Resolve corporation. The residents of Orangeville may travel on Highway 10 or the “Orangeville by-pass.” Those who do not own a car may utilize Orangeville’s public transit system, Orangeville Transit.
With a population of just about 30,000 as of 2016, Orangeville is a small community. This allows for a slower pace of life and subsequently less traffic than some of the larger towns. Although much of the downtown area is walkable, most Orangeville residents are vehicle owners, so factoring in the cost of insurance is essential if you are planning a move here.
