Founded in 1976 and shaped by three generations of the Duliban family, we’ve built our reputation on honest advice, real relationships, and service that feels like home, because that’s what insurance should feel like.
Today, our team of 100+ licensed insurance professionals works out of five offices across the Niagara Region, Hamilton, and Haldimand County, serving clients throughout Ontario, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick.
James Duliban buys the agency
At 54, after 30+ years working at a local steel manufacturing plant, James Duliban used his life savings to purchase a small insurance brokerage in Welland, Ontario called R.F. Seehuber Insurance Agency. He renamed it James Duliban Insurance Brokers Ltd. and built the business on honesty, integrity, and a reputation for being the hardest worker in the room.

Duliban Insurance Brokers is a third-generation, family-founded brokerage with more than 100 insurance professionals across five offices in Fonthill, Grimsby, Welland, and Dunnville. We proudly serve clients throughout the Niagara Region, Hamilton, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Haldimand County, and beyond.

Our Community

Giving back has been part of Duliban Insurance since day one. Each year, we donate $1 per active policy to a chosen local charity, give every team member a paid “Duliban Day” to volunteer, and host an annual charity golf tournament and 5K fun run that have raised funds for Niagara-area organizations since 2013. In 2026, we’re proud to support Comfort Bears, providing comfort bears to children facing cancer, illness, and trauma.
As a third-generation family business, giving back to our local community means everything to us. We believe we were given the opportunity that we have, to use our careers as a platform to give back to the local community. Supporting our communities in which we work and live will always remain a core pillar of Duliban Insurance Brokers Ltd. We are extremely proud to use our platform to raise not only considerable funds but to also generate publicity for the deserving charities that make our communities a great place to work and live! We support social change that contributes to stronger, healthier and more inclusive communities for all. We seek to maximize our resources and our partners to give back to our communities and allocate our team the necessary time to give back to the communities’ greatest needs.
Our annual golf tournament, along with our annual 5km fun run, lies at the heart of our philanthropic strategy and has served a number of local organizations since its inception in 2013.
We are proud to partner with Comfort Bears for 2026
At Duliban Insurance, we are proud to support Comfort Bears, an organization that provides soft support bears and helpful resources to children and youth facing cancer, terminal illness, chronic illness, or severe trauma.
Their hope is that, even for one second, a child can forget about their challenges and feel a moment of comfort and happiness.
Every $25 donation places a Comfort Bear into the arms of a child facing some of their darkest days. To date, more than 15,000 bears have been delivered through hospitals, hospices, first responders, and community organizations.
Duliban Insurance is donating $1 from every policy sold to Comfort Bears, with more opportunities to give throughout the year, including our annual charity golf tournament on September 23rd at Cardinal Lakes Golf Club.
Together, we can help bring comfort and calm to children and families facing battles no child should have to face.
