The New Pelham Community Centre Project is the Boost Pelham Needs
The future for Pelham is filled with gleaming ice surfaces and the whirl of the zamboni.
Construction of a new Pelham Community Centre is green-lit, and your hometown brokers at Duliban couldn’t be more excited.
The current arena in Pelham has served the community well for the last 40 years. It’s housed many hockey events, leagues, and tournaments throughout its lifespan.
It’s time for an upgrade for Pelham, and the new community centre is just what we need to boost our hometown pride and strength.
Duliban Insurance Brokers is proud to staff a team of dedicated community members who care about their local communities. With a new community centre for the town, we’re proud to conduct business here- over 40 years strong.
Giving back to the community is extremely important for Duliban because we believe in the strength of hometown pride. Last year, Duliban donated, advocated, and raised money for the upgrade of the Dunnville Farmers’ Market. We also donate to local charities and causes every year, and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
This year, it’s time to focus on the Pelham Community Centre.
Duliban Donates $125,000 to the Pelham Community Centre Project
We are so proud to announce that the Duliban family has donated $125,000 to the new community centre project.
Arena B will be named the “Duliban Insurance Arena,” and we couldn’t be happier.
Duliban Insurance Brokers has always been family-owned and has been conducting business in Pelham for over 40 years. So this community is extremely important to the Duliban family.
This donation is especially important to Jason and Adam Duliban, twin brothers who co-own Duliban. Both brothers grew up playing hockey in the Pelham arena, and have fond memories of participating in tournaments and playing mini sticks in the lobby.
Jason and Adam both played for the Pelham Panthers Jr. B team, and represented the town of Pelham in the International Silver Stick tournament.
And it goes back further than that. Tom Duliban, the twins’ father, learned how to skate in the Pelham arena. Their mother also used to work in the canteen there.
For the Duliban family, this donation was a no-brainer.
Many of the local insurance brokers at Duliban currently live in and grew up in the Pelham community. They are proud to raise their own families here in town.
Now, our kids deserve somewhere they can enjoy playing hockey, attending community events, or playing other sports and activities.

The New Pelham Community Centre Project
The new Pelham Community Centre project will see the development of a brand new facility. It was approved in April of 2016, and is green-lit to begin construction.
This decision has been in the making for 25 years, and it’s finally time to say hello to a new future for the town of Pelham.
A designated area along Rice Road and Highway 20, in the East Fonthill development area, is set for the centre’s location.
The brand new community centre will feature twin ice rinks, a gymnasium, running track, a fitness area, and multi-purpose rooms. An NHL-sized rink will be the main arena. It will have 1,000 seats- a major boost for the small town of Pelham. The second arena will also have an NHL-sized surface, with 100 seats.
And, of course, there will be a concession area and an upstairs viewing area, where spectators will be able to see both rinks.
With the new facilities and amenities, the new community centre will be able to host a variety of community events, hockey games, and recreational activities. That means all of the town of Pelham’s residents are going to get to enjoy the services available.
Not only that, but the new community centre will cost the city at least $25,000 less per year to operate.
The Importance of a Strong Community
The new Pelham community centre will be a hub for the community. It’ll be a place where people can get together and cheer on their kids, friends, or family members, as well as convene at special events.
A town with a central community centre is much stronger and has a larger sense of hometown pride than a town without one.
When you have a place for community gathering, there are so many positive results. Relationships are built, friendships blossom, and memories are created in these areas.
The new community centre will also boost the local economy and give the town better recognition in the hockey world. It’ll provide a better location for the Pelham Panthers to play, and more opportunities to cheer them on.
